Village clerk shot by unknown armed group in Kyaukme

Kyaukme, 23 January

A government employee has been shot by an unidentified armed group on 22 January, according to a source from the Information and Public Relations Department.

U Myint Oo Kywe, a village clerk from the General Administration Department was shot by an unknown armed group near Namthsaw Village while returning to Kyaukme Township from Mongtin Village at about 5 p.m. on 22 January. He received two gun wounds but he was not life-threatening situation.

The cause of fatal accident could not be ascertained yet and the man has been transferred to a public hospital in Lashio from Kyauke’s hospital for medical treatment.—Kyaukme (IPRD)
