Kawkareik, 17 August
A ceremony to conclude a vocational tailoring course, organized by Department of Rural Development, was held at the Dhamayone of Kawpalan Village, Kawkareik Township, Kayin State with an opening speech by Daw Nan Thuzar Win, deputy speaker of Kayin State Hluttaw.
At the event, official from DRD clarified the purpose of the course and called on the trainees to practically apply the lessons learned in the training to generate more income for their families after finishing their training course.
Afterwards, deputy speaker and officials from DRD presented sewing machine each to outstanding trainees and completion certificates to all trainees, and a trainee spoke words of thanks on behalf of the trainees. Next, Daw Nan Thuzar Win and party inspected the cloths which were made by the trainees.
Altogether 150 people including deputy speaker of Kayin State Hluttaw, officails from the Township’s DRD and GAD, departmental officials and trainees attended the event.—Khin Win, District IPRD
