A ceremony to conclude a vocational sewing course was held at the meeting room of the township Department of Rural Development’s office in Katha, Sagaing Region this morning.

The course was organized by the township DRD under Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation.

At the event, staff officer of the district DRD U Aung Myint Than delivered a speech and called on the trainees to practically apply the lessons learned in the course to generate more incomes in their family. Then, staff officer of the township DRD U Soe Than clarified the purpose of the course.

This was followed by the presentation of completion certificates to the trainees by officials. Then, a trainee spoke words of thanks to officials on behalf of the trainees.

The one-month training course which ran from February 20 to March 20 was attended by 20 trainees from villages in the township.—Ye Aung (Katha)
