With a view to creating a better job opportunity for rural people and boosting their socio-economic status, a vocational masonry course was organized at the meeting room of the Department of Rural Development (DRD) in Pwintbyu Township of Magway Region on 23 July.

First of all, U Khin Maung Kyaw, staff officer of the District Department of Rural Development delivered an opening speech and clarified the purposes of the training course. Then, the Township Department of Rural Development U Hla Htay Maung discussed matters relating to the training course.

Afterwards, officials provided teaching materials to the trainees and then course instructors introduced the subject to be taught in the training course.

A total of 20 trainees throughout the township will be given practical and theoretical lectures by the course instructors during the 15-day training course which starts from July 23 to August 6 this year.—Hlaing Win Lay
