‘Walking bazaar’ festival planned at Yangon Zoo

A ‘walking bazaar’ festival will be held at the Yangon Zoological Garden from 17 to 19 May, according to Wonder Fest EMILY.

The festival will be organized jointly by the EMILY Management Service and the Zero Group. The festival will help attract more visitors to the Yangon Zoological Garden, said Dr. Yee Mon Thu, the founder of EMILY Management Service.

“There is only one zoological garden in Yangon region. People prefer to spend their leisure hours there. Therefore, we will hold the ‘walking bazaar’ festival in the Zoological Garden.

We plan to display some personal goods and open some food courts at the festival,” she said.

“The festival will feature shops selling products for children, school uniforms, stationery, and utensils, monsoon products, food, clothes, and books,” she added.

The festival will also include games, entertainment programs, magic shows, and well-known food outlets, according to Wonder Fest EMILY.— Pwint Thitsar (Translated by Hay Mar)
