Fire broke out in a warehouse in ward-2 in the town of Kengtong, Shan state (East) yesterday night.

The fire forced 30 fire fighters from Kengtong District Fire Services Department to rush to the scene of fire with six fire engines and one water truck. The fire fighters brought the blaze under control in ten minutes.

The warehouse measuring 40 feet in length and 20 feet in wide, belonged to U Nan Pyin was destroyed in the fire but with no causalities. Investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.—Ye Htet Oo ( IPRD)
