In an attempt to supply adequate water to rural people, the Department of Rural Development embarked on construction of a fetching water system in Kanan Village, Tamu Township in Sagaing Region in June and the work was completed hundred percent.

A fetching water system measuring 13,000 in length and a water tank were built in the village at a cost of Ks. 13 million financed by the department in the fiscal year 2018-2019 , said an official from the DRD.

Now, drinking water can be distributed to 613 people from 130 households in the village on a sufficient manner.—Nyein Thu (Salin)
