Officials from the Department of Rural Development under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation inspected construction of a water treatment plant in Kyeinchaung Village in Nyoungdon Township, Ayeyawady Region on December 28.

The officials from the DRD were briefed about usage and technology for the water treatment facility by concerned officials. DRD officials held a meeting with village water supply committee members and gave suggestions for maintenance and sustainable use of the water treatment plant.

Sufficient drinking water would be distributed to 1,117 residents from 248 households in the village, the DRD said.
