A welcome ceremony of English Language proficiency upgrading course-3 for staff from ministries in Nay Pyi Taw was held this afternoon at the congregation hall of Higher Education Department under ministry of Education.

Dr. Myo Thein Gyi, union minister for education, deputy minister U Win Maw Tun, director-generals, deputy permanent secretaries, deputy director-generals, responsible persons, course instructors, teachers and trainees attended the ceremony.

At the event, union minister Dr. Myo Thein Gyi in his speech said that ministry of education on its part has been trying to uplift the capabilities of governmental personnel for the development of the country, extending warm welcome to trainees including 104 officials and 104 non-gazetted government employees from 25 ministries in Nay Pyi Taw.

He also said that now is the time when the government is trying to develop the country joining hands with the people and MOE is creating life-long learning opportunities and all-inclusive quality education for everyone.

He also reiterated that he believed the course would change all the trainees into those who would pursue studying English language and seek opportunities for their career development.

After the ceremony union minister and responsible persons posed for documentary photos together with the trainees. The course will continue till July 28.—MNA
