To support crop cultivation and production, winter agricultural loans for the 2024-2025 FY are being disbursed to farmers who are also members of the bank, covering 18 village tracts in Kamma Township, Magway Region. The Myanma Agricultural Development Bank (branch) has already disbursed loans to 163 farmers for 528 acres of farmland as of 10:00 AM on 21 January.

 

The Township Myanma Agricultural Development Bank had earmarked K 550.0 million for the disbursement to farmers in the township. As of January 21, K 496.1 million has been disbursed to 1,304 farmers across 15 village tracts for a total of 4,961 acres of farmland, at the rate of K 100,000 per acre for winter crops such as groundnut, green gram, mung bean, and Black Pelun beans.

 

The remaining farmers in the township will receive their loans, according to the Myanma Agricultural Development Bank branch.— U Kyaw Zay Ya Win
