A woman from Kalay Township, Sagaing Region was killed after a concrete pole crashed on her when a 22-wheeled truck hit it, the Ministry of Home Affairs reported.
    

The fatal accident occurred in front of a teashop in Tatoo Thidar Ward in Kalay at about 2:30 p.m. on September 2. A concrete pole fell into a motorbike when a 22-wheeled truck driven by a man named Bo Win, 45, rammed into it. The 38-year woman from the motorbike died on the spot with severe injuries in the incident.
    

Action is being taken against the truck driver over reckless driving by the local police.
