THE Nepal Four-Nation Women’s Invitational Football Tournament will start today, with Myanmar set to compete against Lebanon, while Nepal will play against Kyrgyzstan.
The tournament will follow a round-robin format, with matches taking place today. Myanmar will face Lebanon at 2:15 pm Nepali Standard Time (NST), while the host team Nepal will play Kyrgyzstan at 6:15 pm NST. The group-stage matches will be held on 17, 20, and 23 February, with the final showdown scheduled for 26 February.
A press conference was held on 16 February, where Myanmar Women’s National Team head coach Yuki Tetsuyoshi and team captain Win Theingi Htun participated. Head Coach Yuki expressed gratitude to the host team Nepal and the participating teams from Lebanon and Kyrgyzstan. Yuki said, "Each team has come well-prepared, so we will focus on one match at a time and approach each game with respect for our opponents."
Captain Win Theingi Htun also shared her excitement about playing in Nepal again, stating, "In 2024, we only had domestic games, and we didn’t compete in international tournaments.
