The meeting of the Working Committee to address the Im­pact of COVID-19 on the National Economy 6/2022 was virtually held yesterday afternoon at Of­fice the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Rela­tions.

 

The meeting was chaired by Union Minister Dr Kan Zaw of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Rela­tions. Members of the Working Committee deputy ministers for Planning and Finance, for In­vestment and Foreign Economic Relations, for Labour and for Commerce, the deputy gover­nor from the Central Bank of Myanmar, the permanent sec­retary, the directors-general and representatives from the min­istries concerned also attended the meeting.

 

During the meeting, the re­sponsibilities of the working com­mittee regarding coordination on loan repayments including the fishery and livestock sector as well as a one-year extension for this sector were discussed.

 

Moreover, the working committee secretary Deputy Minister Dr Wah Wah Maung of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations discussed loan repayment mon­itoring situations in states and regions as well as capital and interest return.

 

The meeting also discussed relief measures carried out by the ministries concerned, works regarding the statement on the one-year extension of loan for the fishery and livestock sector and the plan of action to be done by the committee. — MNA
