17 November

MYANMAR  national  men’s  football team is preparing for a crucial second  round  Group  F  match  in  the  2022  FIFA  World  Cup qualifiers,  which  will  be  played on 19 November at Man-dalar Thiri Stadium in Mandalay.

The Myanmar national team players  started  their  special  training  for  the  crucial  World  Cup  qualifier  against  Mongolia  on 15 November at the National Football Academy of Mandalay.

Team Myanmar will be led by head coach Antoine Hey.

Under the guidance of Hey, team Myanmar saw its first win in the previous Group F qualifi-ers against an Asian team Tajik-istan at home, winning 4-3 on 14 November.

The win kept alive the Myan-mar team’s hope for competing in the World Cup.

Myanmar  is  currently  in  fifth  place,  with  three  points,  having  one win  and  three  loss-es,  while  undefeated  Japan  is  in  first  place, Krygyzstan  in  second place with two wins and two  losses,  while Tajikistan  is  in  third  with  two  wins  and  two  losses,  but  different goal  totals  with Krygyzstan. Mongolia also leads  Myanmar,  with  the same  victories  and  losses,  but  a  dif-ference in goals.

During  Myanmar  facing  Mongolia in the first round World Cup qualifiers, team Myanmar, under  the  guidance  of  former  head coach Miodrag Radulovic,  suffered a 0-1 loss against Mon-golia in Ulanbaatar, Mongolia on 6 September, 2019.

Thus,  the  upcoming  Myanmar  vs  Mongolia  match,  to  be  played  on  19  November  at  Mandalar Thiri Stadium, will be a thriller to watch.

Advanced  tickets  for  the  match are on sale at the eastern gate of the Mandalar Thiri Stadi-um on the 68th  street side, and at the Myanmar Football Academy (Mandalay) during office hours, according  to  the  MFF.—Lynn  Thit (Tgi)
