Organized by Rikhawdar town Stevedore Group, a ceremony to commemorate world workers’ day, which falls on May 1, was held at the meeting hall in ward-2 in the town of Rikhawdar in Chin state.

At the event, the town administrator U Kyin Lam Khaing made an opening speech, followed by an explanation on works being carried out by the Group by U Van Lal Du, head caretaker of the stevedores. Then, Rev. Sangrothuama preached sermons.

Afterwards, prizes and commemorative gifts were given to award winners in the sports competitions, church pastors from churches in the town.

It is learnt that Rikhawdar Town Stevedore Group has a membership of 500.— Rikhawdar IPRD
