THE Yaksawk Township Department of Rural Development, under the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development, inspected the progress of paving the village concrete road implemented under the Village Development Project (VDP) fund in Samyayoo Village, Yak­sawk Township, yesterday.

 

Yaksawk Township Department of Rural De­velopment Head U Ye Min Aung and project staff, to­gether with members of the village development committee, inspected the completed village entrance concrete road to Samyayoo Village, measuring 400 feet in length, 12 feet in width and seven inches in thick­ness. He also met village elders and locals and urged them to form a village road committee and jointly maintain the road for long-term sustainability.

 

The concrete road was built under the 2026-2027 financial year Village De­velopment Project (VDP) with K15 million VDP fund and K9 million community contribution. The project was implemented with technical assistance and close supervision from departmental engineers, starting from the first week of May, and has now been fully completed. — Maung Khaing (Rural)
