A rally in support of the rebuttal submissions made by the Myanmar delegation at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague, the Netherlands, in defence of the dignity and just cause of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, was held this afternoon at the car park in front of Yangon City Hall.
At the outset, members of the public attending the rally sang the national anthem in unison and paid respect to the national flag of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
Afterwards, Sayadaw Ashin Thucitta and U Win Ko Ko Latt delivered speeches expressing support and paying tribute to the Myanmar delegation, led by Union Minister U Ko Ko Hlaing and Union Minister and Union Attorney-General Dr Thida Oo, who are presenting rebuttal arguments at the International Court of Justice in accordance with international law.
Subsequently, U Htein Lin read out a statement in both English and Myanmar, after which participants chanted slogans together, and the rally was reported to have concluded successfully. — Aung Myint (IPRD)/ MKKS
