Yangon United defeated Yadanabon FC 3-1 at the semifinal match of the Myanmar National League Cup 2025 played at the Youth Training Centre in Thuwunna in Yangon yesterday.
Yangon United sailed into the final in two consecutive seasons, defeating Yadanabon 3-1 in the semifinals on both occasions. Thayar Win Htet scored an opening goal for Yangon United at the seven-minute mark. But Yadanabon’s Captain Pyi Moe scored an equalizer at 34 minutes to make the result 1-1. Both teams were tied at the interval.
In the second half, Yangon United made substitutions to raise their attack and scored consecutive winning goals near the end of the game.
The winning goals for YUFC were scored by Kaung Sithu at 88 minutes and Aee Soe at 90+5 minutes.
In turn, MNL League Cup defending champion Shan United will face Ayeyawady United in the other semifinal match at Thuwunna YTC in Yangon on 24 June, today. — Shine Htet Zaw/KZL
