A resident in Yatsauk Township, Southern Sha State was injured after being shot by his cousin-brother, the Ministry of Home Affairs reported.

The incident happened in a house of a local identified as U Thaung Tin, 56 years old from Zaytan Ward, Yatsauk Township at around 12:15 a.m. on 15 May. The cousin-brother of the victim named Aung Myo Khaing (alias) Aung Nge holding a percussion lock firearm arrived at the home and fired one shot at the victim and fled the scene.

According to the initial investigation, the victim told his cousin-brother that he will sell a land plot belonging to their ancestors. The victim sustained minor injuries in the incident and was admitted to a public hospital. An investigation into the case is ongoing by the police.—MOHA
