Yaw Chaung bridge ( Kandwin) inaugurated in Seik Phyu Tsp

A ceremony to open Yaw Chaung bridge (Kandwin) linking Seik Phyu township with Pakokku township was held in east Kandwin village in Seikphyu township, Magway region this morning. The bridge crossing Yaw creek was constructed by Bridge Special Team-5 of Road Department, under the ministry of Construction. 


First, Magway Region Construction and Transportation Minister U Tin New Oo, MP U Aung Thaik of Pyithu Hluttaw,MP U Mya Min Swe of Amyotha Hluttaw, MP U Kyaw San Aung and Daw Thet Mon Aye of the Region Hluttaw and officials from construction team offered monks early meals at the briefing hall before listening to sermons preached by the monks on the bridge. After that, the Region Construction and Transportation Minister and party sprinkled scented water on the stone inscription and formally opened the bridge.


Special Bridge Team started bridge construction on June 5, 2017, spending K 1000 million allotted in 2017-2018 fiscal year, K 300 million and K 1400 million allotted in 2018-2019 fiscal year by union government. The bridge measures 900 feet in length, 30 feet in wide, with three-foot pedestrians in each side. The maximum load capacity of the bridge is up to 60 tons for a loaded vehicle.
