The final match of Mon State Chief Minister’s Cup U-21 Men’s Football Tournament was held in conjunction with a prize awarding event at the township sports ground in Kyaikmaraw Township on 15 December evening.

In the final game, the football team representing Ye Township won over the squad representing Paung Township 2-1 and was crowned the champion trophy. Mon State Minister for Social Affairs Dr. Htein Lin, Mon State Minister for Kayin Ethnic Affairs U Saw Aung Myint Khaing, Mon State MP Daw Khin Myo Myin, Mawlamyine District Deputy Commissioner U Toe Lwin and Township Administrator U Kyaw Myint presented individual prizes, cash and champion trophy to prize winning players and teams.

The football contest is the 9th time of its kind. The competition was hosted in Kyaikmaraw Township and was participated by ten townships in Mon State.—Cho Myat Myat Htwe (Kyaikmaraw)
