UNDER the Connected Hearts of Yunnan Province programme, the handover ceremony for the solar-powered electricity sup­ply project, donated by Yunnan Province, People’s Republic of China, to No 2 Basic Education High School in Pyinmana, Nay Pyi Taw, was held at the school yesterday morning.

 

Pyinmana District Educa­tion Officer Daw Myint Myint Aye and Meng Fei (a) Daw Kyi Lin from Sunshine Energy Technol­ogy Co Ltd and First Secretary Zhang Zhonghu of Interim Liai­son Office, on behalf of donors, spoke words of appreciation.

 

Officials handed over docu­ments related to the project and certificates of honour to Head­mistress Daw Kyu Kyu Myint of the school. U Win Naung of Myanmar Trade Cetre (MTC) ex­plained the purpose of donation. Students performed the song entertainments.

 

At the ceremony, 80 solar panels, three invertors and relat­ed accessories worth more than K160 million were handed over the school. The solar facilities can generate 9.24 kilowatts. — MNA/TTA
