ONE of Myanmar’s traditional snacks, ‘Mayway’, made in Zalun Township has received orders from Yangon Region and other areas.
Mayway price has been fine as it has been sold well in Yangon, as well as in Aphyauk and Pantanaw townships.
“Mayway trade is doing well. Mayway is one of the most consumed traditional Myanmar snacks. Mayway gains orders from Yangon, as well as Aphyauk and Pantanaw. It is sold in ready-to-eat packages and sold by visses. It is one of the most popular snacks,” said U Tin Kyaing who runs a Mayway-making business in Zalun Township.
Mayway, a popular traditional snack of Myanmar, is being produced seasonally but Mayway makers said they have planned to upgrade the manufacturing so that it can be available throughout the year with the help of technology. — Thit Taw/ZS
