Installation of 400 V transmission line in Yankote village, Kawkareik Township, Kawkareik District, Kayin State was conducted starting from the first week of October and now, it has been completed by hundred percent, according to District Department of Rural Development.
The installation of transmission line was undertaken with K 10 million, interest of the Emerald Green Project and K 50 million of public contribution. In the village, the Emerald Green Project was conducted starting from 2014-2015 FY.
Upon completion, it will create more job opportunities and bring socioeconomic development to the local residents. In addition, the locals will have access to 24-hour electricity. In the village, there are a total of 180 households and 900 residents.
