Under the leadership of the township committee for COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment, measures have been stepped up to fight against the virus in Mongphyat Township, Tachilek District, Shan State (East).

Volunteers from the township Department of Health and departmental offices distributed face masks and face shield to local people in conjunction with a knowledge sharing event about the danger of COVID-19 at temporary markets, myoma market and Pyidaungsu Road in the town of Mongphyat this morning.

Afterwards, chairman of the township committee for COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment U Thet Lwin, secretary of the township committee for COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment Dr. Kyaw Myo Zaw, staff and departmental officials jointly handed out 1000 pieces of facial masks and 500 pieces of face shields to local people in the town.
