Shan State Police Commander Police Brigadier General Tin Ko Ko, police officials and administrative officials on 6 December destroyed poppy plants in Kyaukkacha Village, Sanhpoo Village-tract, the Pa’O Self-Administered Zone, Hopong Township in southern Shan State.
A total of 67 officials, including Police Brigadier General Tin Ko Ko, Lieutenant Colonel Nyi Nyi Tin (member of the Leading Body of Pa’O Self-Administered Zone), Shan State Police Force Deputy Commander Police Colonel Zaw Min Aung and administrative officials, destroyed the 32 acres of poppy fields. From 27 November to 6 December, a total of 296 acres of poppy fields have been destroyed in Hopong Township, according to the Hopong Township Police Force.
