A local religious organization donated food supplies to nunneries in Thanlyan Township, Yangon Region.
    

The charitable group donated rice and cooking oil worth Ks. 5.5 million to 1,100 Buddhist nuns from 26 nunneries in Thanlyan Township. The philanthropic association contributed medical equipment, medicine, rice, cooking oil, and nutritious food valued at more than Ks 200 million to those in need, monasteries, nunneries and hospitals in the township amid the ongoing pandemic.
    

Thanlyan Township reported 2,380 virus cases, with 47 deaths so far, according to the township covid—19 control and emergency response committee.
