THE arrangement will be made to display the over 100-year-old printing press and related equipment used by Yathe Gyi U Khandi as an ancient heritage to the public, according to U Soe Naing Swe, Joint Secretary (1) of the Mandalay Hill Board of Trustees.

Yathe Gyi U Khandi arrived at the Mandalay Hill in 1269 ME and did his missionary work in over 20 towns around Myanmar. In 1281, he bought a printing press and related items from the United States and published religious books of Buddhism and Mya Yadanar Religious Magazine. The printed books are kept at the Mandalay Hill Library for public reading.
