Chaung-U, 18 December

With the aim of boosting the income of local people and their socio-economic status, loans for emerald green project were dispensed to members of village emerald green project committee at the Dhamayone of Ywa Oo Monastery in Kyauksitkan Village in Chaung-U Township, Sagaing Region on 17 December.

At the event, an official from the township General Administration Department delivered an opening speech. Then, staff officer of the township Department of Rural Development Daw Khin Soe Win clarified the purpose of the project and explained rules and regulations of the emerald green projects to be abode by the rural people.

Afterwards, an official from the township GAD handed over K 44.7 million to chairman of village emerald green project sub-committee U Soe Myint. Altogether 253 people in the village received loans of project. The disbursement of loans is the sixth of its kind in the village.
