Shanywathit 21 December

Construction of a concrete bridge which will connect Maethamu and Maethamukhee villages in the town of Shanywathit, Hpa-an District, Kayin State is being conducted with funds of State Government starting from the second week of December.

With the aim of narrowing the gap between rural and urban areas, the Department of Development for Border Areas and National Races is focusing to fulfill the needs of the local residents in border areas. The rural road which is 30 ft in length is being built with K 51.420 million. Upon completion, it will benefit the socioeconomic development of the local residents and bring safe and convenient transportation to them.
