Officials from the township Department of Social Welfare provided cash aid to pregnant women and children below two years old amid the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic in Mongkung Township, Shan State (South)  on a door to door basis this morning.

The township Department of Social Welfare provided over K 30.6 million to pregnant women and K 17.1 million to children below two years old who have not received cash aid from April to December second week in the township. Under this financial aid program, 112 pregnant women and 34 children in the township received cash aid.

Currently, there are reportedly 362 pregnant women and 191 children below two years old in Mongkung Township.
