CHAIRMAN U Soe Lin of the Board of Trustees of the Mahamuni Pagoda said the book would be published with photos of ancient artifact collections at the Mahamuni Pagoda in Mandalay.

The book, which will be published as a record, includes rare and historic mural paintings, palm-leaf inscriptions and manuscripts and valuable items donated in the past, together with photographs.

During the current COVID-19 period, renovations are being carried out on the buildings inside the Mahamuni Pagoda compound as well as the preservation of the ancient heritage.

The Buddhist Museum is also being renovated and is being used as a miniature version of the Mahamuni Pagoda. It is said that this small model was built at the cost of 30 million kyats to make it easy for future generations to see everything inside the pagoda.
