36 Thai citizens were handed over to Thai immigration officials through No.2 Myanmar-Thailand Friendship Bridge in Tachilek, Shan State on December 23.
    

Out of 36 Thai citizens, nine people live in Myanmar illegally and want to go home amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Nine Thai citizens were fined 300,000 kyats each and were expelled from Myanmar. Myanmar authorities led by Assistant Director of the Department of Immigration U Maung Maung Myint handed Thai nationals to Thai immigration officials.


Thai citizens were tested coronavirus with rapid test kit before being transferred to Thai officials.
