AS Chairman of the State Admin­istration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing on 22 April called for peace talks with ethnic armed organiza­tions-EAOs to restore perpetual peace in the country and an end to the armed conflicts, a peace delegation led by Vice Chair of the Arakan Liberation Party (ALP) Daw Saw Mra Razar Lin left Sit­tway, Rakhine State by Tatmadaw aircraft, for Nay Pyi Taw yester­day morning.

 

At the Sittway Airport, the peace delegation was seen off by officials from the Sittway Sta­tion, department officials, ethnic cultural groups, and local people who supported the country’s sta­bility, peace, and development by holding vinyl posters reading “Peace talks succeed!”.

 

On arrival at the Nay Pyi Taw Airport, the delegation was wel­comed by members of the Nation­al Solidarity and Peace-making Negotiation Committee and eth­nic people from the Department of Fine Arts, Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture, department staff, and local people who wants peace holding the Myanmar min­iature flags and placards bearing, “Perpetual Peace is the real as­piration of the people”, “Achiev­ing peace is the true desire of all citizens”, “Let’s hold talks for peace in the Union”, “Only the ethnic nationalities are in unity, stability, peace and tranquility will be achieved”.—MNA
