State Administration Council member Dr Hmu Htan and Un­ion Minister for Ethnic Affairs Jeng Phang Naw Taung met the staff who are serving duties at the Chin State Directorate Office of the Ministry of Ethnic Affairs together with Chin State Ethnic Affairs Minister U Sein Tun Hla in Haka Township on 21 February.

 

During the meeting, SAC member Dr Hmu Htan said the non-disintegration of na­tional solidarity plays a key role among our three main national causes. The Ministry of Ethnic Affairs is working in that sector. Currently, it should strengthen the national solidarity in Chin State and the entire nation can see progress through national unity.

 

It is necessary to live with­out hatred among the ethnic people. As every religion em­phasizes love and the staff should have goodwill and kind­ness towards the ethnic people and work together with other departmental staff in addition to their coworkers while serving duties in Chin State.

 

Then, the officials of the De­partment of Ethnic Literature and Culture and the Depart­ment of Protection of Ethnic Rights reported on undertaking the tasks.

 

Chin State Ethnic Affairs Minister U Sein Tun Hla ex­plained ethnic affairs and the progress of works and the direc­tor-general of the Department of Protection of Ethnic Rights coordinated the discussion.

 

Then, Union Minister Jeng Phang Naw Taung called on the participants to support in promoting the ethnic language, literature, arts, cultural herit­age, tradition and culture and national characteristics and so­cioeconomic of ethnic people, to work in line with the rules and regulations of civil services, to understand the national tasks, five-point roadmap and 12 ob­jectives in serving duties from the respective sectors and to spend the State fund effectively as per the financial rules and directives and to take care of the welfare of the staff and their health.

 

SAC member Dr Hmu Htan and the Union minister presented cash assistance for the ethnic literature and cul­tural groups in Chin State to promote literature and cultural affairs. —MNA/KTZH
