A ceremony to donate books writ­ten by Dr Aung Gyi to offices and libraries of the Ministry of Infor­mation was held yesterday in Nay Pyi Taw.

Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn, Deputy Minister U Ye Tint, Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irri­gation Dr Aung Gyi, Permanent Secretary U Myo Myint Maung and officials were present on the occasion.

First, a total of 500 books: 250 books of “Yin Hte Ka A Pe” (The Father Who Is in My Heart) and 250 books of “Sitemwe Se” (Agri­cultural Dam) written by Deputy Minister Dr Aung Gyi of the Min­istry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation was donated to Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn who then returned a certificate of honour to the deputy minister.

Deputy Minister Dr Aung Gyi explained the purpose of book donations and Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn gave words of thanks before concluding the event. — MNA/TS
