Yangon Gold Entrepreneurs Association (YGEA) will conduct gold training course(28th batch) free of charge at its office at No 42/50 on Shwebontha Street, Pabedan Township in the com­ing September (2-11 September).

 

Additionally, the YGEA will also offer an awareness course (9th Batch) on anti-money laun­dering and combatting the financ­ing of terrorism (AML/CFT).

 

The respective experts will share education and knowledge about gold mining, gold refining, gold trading, opening gold shops and refineries, gold mortgage, gold rate calculation, gold/silver coins and jewellery and opening gold shops.

The precious metal dealers’ licences can be sought only with the completion certificate of the AML/CFT course under Section 3 (G) in Chapter II of the directive 2/2022 issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs’ Central Body on Anti-Money Laundering.

 

The YGEA handed over 21 applications for precious metal dealers’ licences to the regis­tration board in Pabedan, Lan­madaw and Latha townships on 1 April. U Myo Myint, chair of the YGEA, handed over 21 appli­cations for precious metal deal­ers’ licences to the authorities concerned from the General Ad­ministration Department and the respective registration boards of Lanmadaw (1 application), Latha (1 application), Pabedan (19 appli­cations). — NN/EM
