Monsoon agricultural loans have been dispensed to farmers since May this year in Thayetchaung Township, Dawei District of Tanintharyi Region by Myanma Agricultural Development Bank and now, all the projects have been completed, according to Daw Aye Thida, manager of the Township Myanma Agricultural Development Bank.

The bank disburses the agricultural loans to farmers who have paid back the previous debt at a rate of Ks. 150,000 per acre of paddy field. The bank has disbursed monsoon agricultural loans to a total of 948 farmers from 20 village tracks in the Township.

The bank dispensed a total of Ks.789.00 million of monsoon agricultural loans for 5260 acres of farmland in the Township, according to the bank manager.—Pyae Phyo Paing
