Union Minister for Construction U Myo Thant received Indian Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Vinay Kumar at the ministry in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday after­noon.

During the meeting, both sides discussed strengthening friendship, development of bor­der trade and tourism sectors, plans to improve transport sec­tor for smooth and swift flow of commodities for development of socioeconomic life of the peo­ple, various areas of coopera­tion, including the development of border trade, and enhance­ment of human resources for sending engineering scholarship students for upgrading roads, bridges, urban and housing sec­tor. — MNA/KZW
