Hsihseng, 12 September
Prize awarding event of school council chairperson’s soccer cup took place at the Township football ground in the town of Hsihseng, the Pa'O Self-Administered Zone of southern Shan State at 3:30 pm on September 11.
First, a responsible teacher spoke words of thanks to officials from sports and physical education department and old students who organized the soccer tournament. Afterwards, Chairperson of the School Council, Head of Hsihseng B.E.H.S. Daw Khin Oo May and officials awarded medals and cash awards to the 1st and 2nd prize winners and the best players from the men’s and women’s football teams respectively.
A total of 18 football teams including three teams from primary schools, five men’s teams and five women’s teams from middle schools and five women’s teams and five men’s teams from high schools competed in the tournament which started from September 5-10.—Myo Myat(Hsihseng)
