Under the arrangement of the Township Administration Council, Assistant Director of the Township Department of Disaster Management Daw May Khine Set and staff, member-2 of the Township Administration Body U Aye Kyaing, deputy Administrator of the Township General Administration Department U Chit Ko Ko and departmental officials provided cash aid to flood victims in Htonbo Village in Pandaung Township, Bago Region yesterday.

A total of 148 family members including 73 men and 75 women from 36 households in Htonbo Village were temporarily relocated to safer places as water level in Irrawaddy River rises from continuous rain.

On the occasion, officials donated a total of K 310800 and rice bags for seven day to flood victims in the village. Then, officials looked round the flood areas in the village.—La Pyae Linn(IPRD)
