Irrawaddy riverbank measuring 1000 ft. in length and 200 ft. in width was collapsed due to Irrawaddy riverbank erosion in Dawnyeingone Village in Zalun Township, Hinthada District of Ayeyarwaddy Region at about 4:00 pm on September 13.
17 family members from six households in the village were transferred to safer places due to the danger of riverbank erosion. Victims of riverbank erosion are currently taking shelter in the homes of their relatives with the help of members of Village Administration Body.—Wei Yan (Zalun IPRD)
