Mass vaccination campaign to prevent students from diphtheria, tetanus and cervical cancer was conducted at the Yannaing Basic Education Primary School, Myoma B.E.P.S., Tayokesu sub-B.E.M.S., Sintgaing B.E.H.S and Myatsaydana private high school in Sintgaing Township of Mandalay Region yesterday morning.

On the occasion, health workers from the Township Maternal and Child Welfare Association led by Dr. Aye Lwin from the Township Department of Public Health vaccinated 112 girls aged nine to twelve with human papillomavirus vaccine in line with health guidelines set by Ministry of Health.

Medical workers will continue to give the vaccine to the remaining girls from Basic Education Schools in the Township, according to Dr. Aye Lwin.—Kyawswa(Sintgaing)
