A delegation led by Deputy Commandant of Naval War College (NWC) of India, Com­modore Prashant Chandrase­kharan arrived in Myanmar on 2 December on a study tour.

 

During their visit to Myan­mar, they paid visit to the India Centre in Yangon and met with staff from the Indian Embassy to Myanmar on 3 December. On 4 December, they met with officials from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Navy) and the Office of the Chief of Armed Forces Training. Addi­tionally, they toured significant sites such as the Defence Ser­vices Museum in Nay Pyi Taw, the National Defence College, the Myanmar Gems Museum (Nay Pyi Taw), the Uppatasanti Pagoda, and the Maravijaya Buddha Image. These visits provided them an opportunity to observe and appreciate My­anmar’s heritage and culture.

 

On 5 December, the dele­gation visited the Bagan An­cient Cultural Zone exploring the historic city of Bagan and the Bagan Cultural Museum. On 6 and 7 December, they conducted further activities in Yangon, including a visit to the Shwedagon Pagoda for observation and reverence, as well as a study tour to the naval vessel Mayu.

 

They departed for India from the Yangon Internation­al Airport yesterday. — MNA/ TMT
