A military parade commemorating the 77th Anniversary of the Tatmadaw (Navy) was held yesterday morning at the Naval Training Command Headquarters in Thanlyin Station yesterday.
It was attended by Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Admiral Htein Win, Chief of Staff (Navy) Vice-Admiral Aye Min Htwe, retired Commander-in-Chief (Navy), and relevant naval officials and their families.
After the ceremonial procedures, the Commander-in-Chief (Navy) observed the parade companies. He then made a speech, took a salute and left the event.
Moreover, the early alms food donation event commemorating the 77th Anniversary of the Tatmadaw (Navy) took place at Maha Narvanikajaya Mingala Beikman in Thanlyin station. The monks led by State Sangha Maha Nayaka Chairman Presiding Patron Sayadaw of Thanlyin Min Kyaung Monastery Agga Maha Pandita Agga Maha Saddhamma Jotikadhaja Dr Bhaddanta Candima Bhivamsa and Ovada Cariya of Thanlyin Kyaikkhauk Pagoda Patron of Thanlyin Township Sangha Nayaka Chairman of Thudhamma Vinedo Pavarana of MyoU Setpyitkwin Monastery Presiding Sayadaw Bhaddanta Teza attended the event, and Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Admiral Htein Win and his wife, Chief of Staff (Navy) Vice-Admiral Aye Min Htwe and his wife, senior naval officials, other ranks and their families were also present at the donation event.
First, all the attendees took five precepts from Ovada Cariya Sayadaw of Kyaikkhauk Pagoda and listened to Paritta recited by the monks. Then, they donated offertories to the Sayadaws. Moreover, the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee Chairman Presiding Patron Sayadaw of Thanlyin Min Kyaung Monastery delivered sermons, and the aggregation shared merits gained and offered alms food to the Sayadaws. — MNA/KTZH
