AN electronic visa system will be taken into effect from 1 January 2025 and a visa fee (USD in cash) can be made at the Royal Thai Embassy in Yangon on the appointment date after application.
The embassy will accept applications for visa appointment dates at https://www.thaiconsularyangon. com/visa until 24 December 2024 and stop the acceptance of applications from 25 to 31 December 2024 to fix switching to the e-visa system.
For all visa types, e-visa applications will be accepted only at https://www.thaievisa.go.th/ on January 2025 for Myanmar nationals and other nationals living in Myanmar. Stages of an e-visa application are provided at https:// thaievisa.go.th/video-user-manuals. After application, the visa fee can be paid at the embassy’s visa counter on an appointment date from 9 am to 11:30 am.
Further announcements on seeking an online reservation system for visa payment will be continued, it said. — MT/ZS
