STATE Administration Council Member Mahn Nyein Maung, along with Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win, visited successful agricultural and live­stock projects in Nyaunglebin District yesterday morning.

 

The SAC member and his team first visited Pyinmalwin vil­lage in DaikU Township, where they met local farmers growing two crops of summer paddy per year. They discussed improving farmers’ livelihoods, increasing productivity, and addressing challenges through collaboration and community support.

 

They also toured several successful initiatives, includ­ing U Thant Zin Tun’s poultry farm in Katode Ywama village, where 7,000 local chickens and 100 goats are raised with State economic promotion fund sup­port. They also visited U Maung Kyi’s dairy farm in Kyaiksakaw village, which raises cows and goats and produces local chick­ens and eggs.

 

In the afternoon, the team visited the government’s ag­ricultural production unit in Thanetpin Township, meeting with farmers growing summer paddy. They presented seeds and farming tools and discussed fur­ther support.

 

The team also visited Ka­mase village in Thanetpin Town­ship, where U Win Htike Maung’s cattle farming operation has 42,000 animals. They observed rice milling and production op­erations at a local mill, guiding expanding contract farming and supporting local farmers.

 

Lastly, the team visited Obo village-tract in Bago Township, observing 100 acres of successful green bean farming. They met local farmers, listened to their needs, and concluded the visit with a meeting at Thiri Hantha Hall in Bago to discuss upcoming government plans and policies to further support local farmers. — MNA/KZL
