A ceremony to offer a congratulatory message sent by Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Senior General Thadoe Maha Thray Sithu Thadoe Thiri Thudhamma Min Aung Hlaing to the Sayadaw who is the 17th Tipitakadhara Tipitakakovida title recipient took place at Tipitaka Maha Gandawin Nikaya Monastery in Dagon Myothit (East) Township of Yangon Region yesterday afternoon.
The Sayadaw has secured the title in the 77th Tipitakadhara Tipitakakovida Selection Examination.
The ceremony was attended by Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Tin Oo Lwin, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, the regional minister, the director-general of the Religious Affairs Department and officials.
