THE Goethe-Institut Myanmar and the re­nowned German-based theatre company Ri­mini Protokoll will jointly present a contempo­rary theatre workshop titled ‘Rimini Protokoll in Myanmar’ at the Goethe-Institut Myanmar (Exhibition Hall) in Bahan Township, Yangon Region, at 5 pm on 5 February.

 

The workshop will be led by Helgard Haug, co-founder of Rimini Protokoll, writer, and direc­tor. It will feature contemporary theatre profes­sionals and arts organizations from Myanmar, including Thukhuma Khayeethe, FXB Myanmar, Thyitar, Maung Day and Associate Theatrical Artistes, and other emerging theatrical artistes.

 

Rimini Protokoll is a German theatre com­pany and art organization that creates plays, artistic collaborations, performance art, and audio stories.

 

The group is known for transforming social issues into compelling storytelling, often using technology to enhance the performance. The upcoming Rimini Protokoll in Myanmar event is free to attend and open to all, with a networking session following the performance. — ASH/TH
