THE Tatmadaw Hospital Ship Thanlwin, accompanied by mo­bile specialist medical teams comprising consultants, doctors, and nurses, has been providing healthcare services to residents along the Taninthayi coastal re­gion, as well as to communities near Cocokyun Township in Yan­gon Region and Hainggyikyun in Ayeyawady Region.

 

The mobile medical team set up a temporary base at the Tatmadaw Hospital at Haing­gyikyun to provide healthcare services to 619 residents from the town and nearby villages.

 

The treatments included general medical consultations for 125 patients, surgical care for 43 patients, obstetric and gynaecological care for 27 pa­tients, paediatric treatments for 48 children, orthopaedic care for 110 patients, ear, nose, and throat treatment for 50 patients, ophthalmology services for 138 patients, and dental care for 78 patients.

 

Moreover, five patients un­derwent general surgery, 35 re­ceived eye surgery, 50 had X-ray examinations, 47 were tested us­ing ultrasound, 47 underwent ECG heart screenings, and 50 had laboratory tests. Further­more, arrangements were made for 13 patients requiring further treatment to be referred to near­by Tatmadaw hospitals. — MNA/ KTZH
